Hyderabad, a burgeoning tech hub in India, has welcomed T-Mobile Global Solutions (TMUS Global), the international wing of one of America's leading telecommunications giants, with an inauguration ceremony attended by prominent local officials. Spanning 2.5 lakh square feet, this new state-of-the-art technology centre is set to serve as a vital node within T-Mobile's global network, focusing on diverse domains including software engineering, DevOps, product development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and advanced digital solutions.
Strategic Hub for Innovation
The facility marks significant progress for both T-Mobile and Telangana state. With key figures from the IT operations team present, such as Chandra Gupta, TMUS Global Solutions India's Vice President of IT Operations, discussions have intensified on long-term growth prospects within the diverse tech landscape.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Sridhar Babu, the state's IT and industries minister, acknowledged T-Mobile for recognizing Telangana's dynamic talent pool and rapid development in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ecosystem. This collaboration is expected to facilitate swift expansion across sectors including telecommunications, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, life sciences, and banking, financial services, and insurance.
Chandra Gupta highlighted Hyderabad's robust innovation ecosystem as a key driver for T-Mobile's ambitions in the region. The state hosts over 450 technology centres and more than 3 lakh professionals, making it an ideal hub for T-Mobile to scale up to nearly 1,000 employees by 2027.
The centre is poised to integrate with global operations, harnessing cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, automation, and enterprise digital transformation. These efforts will ultimately support enhanced technology operations and improved customer experiences.
