Royal Enfield has achieved a groundbreaking sales milestone of 12,38,659 motorcycles in financial year 2025-26 (FY26), marking a remarkable 23% increase from the previous year. This success is largely attributed to the strong performance of the Himalayan 450 model, which has sold more than 38,000 units globally.
The Himalayan 450's Triumph
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has left a lasting impression on adventure enthusiasts worldwide. With an impressive growth rate of 53% outside India, it secured the top spot in its segment in key markets like Brazil and the UK. Powered by a robust 452cc engine producing 40 hp and 40 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed gearbox, this adventure bike provides smooth performance on varied terrains.
February alone saw the sale of 2,123 Himalayan units, contributing to a total of nearly 33,000 sales for both the Himalayan and Gorilla 450 combined. These figures underscore its growing popularity.
Global Sales and Domestic Success
The company has reinforced its position in international markets by exporting 131,316 units, marking a significant increase of 23% from the previous year. Domestically, Royal Enfield sold an impressive 11,07,343 motorcycles for the first time crossing the 11 lakh mark, a testament to its customer loyalty and strong presence in India.
Royal Enfield faces no significant competition in mid-size segments. Models like Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Bullet 350 account for 92% of total sales with the Classic 350 alone holding a 40% share. In the 650cc segment, the company has secured a powerful market share of 97%, led by premium models like Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
Looking ahead, Royal Enfield is poised to make its mark in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the Flying Flea C6 model, set for a revolutionary impact on future roads.
