In a bid to cater to the evolving needs of its customers in India, Hero MotoCorp has unveiled an advanced version of its popular motorcycle, the Super Splendor—now branded as the Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0. This new model, priced at ₹86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant and ₹90,000 for the top-of-the-line version, brings a host of modern advancements.
The motorcycle's mechanical components have been bolstered with a proven 124.7cc single-cylinder engine known for its reliability. This engine delivers 10.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and hits a peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Paired with a smooth 5-speed gearbox, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 aims to offer better speed control.
The biggest headline is its fuel efficiency. Claimed by Hero MotoCorp at an impressive 72 km/l, this bike promises a significant boost of 4 km/l over its predecessor. To achieve this enhanced mileage, the firm has incorporated APFI (Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection) technology, which ensures no wastage.
High-Tech Features Ensuring Safety and Convenience
The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 comes packed with state-of-the-art safety features. Among them are hazard lights that can be used for road safety during adverse weather conditions or emergencies, enhancing visibility and aiding smoother rides.
Further, the motorcycle boasts a robust braking system, featuring a 240mm disc brake in the front and an engine kill switch on the handlebars. The instrument cluster has also seen an overhaul into a fully digital display supporting Bluetooth connectivity. This feature allows riders to access notifications from their smartphones directly on the screen.
Notably, this new model features a sporty redesign with multiple color options that appeal to diverse tastes. These include Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue, and Matt Chestnut Brown, catering to various customer preferences.
