Renault, the French automaker, is set to bring back their popular SUV, the Duster, in India with a new generation that promises to dominate the market with enhanced power and hybrid technology.

Previously phased out in 2022, the Duster is making a comeback in March 2026 with a refreshed appearance and advanced technology. Renault is banking on the Duster’s third generation to make a comeback on India’s booming SUV market.

Among the new features, the Duster 2026 will feature two turbocharged petrol engines, a 1.0-liter turbo engine with 100hp and a 1.3-liter turbo engine with 163hp. Additionally, a 1.8-liter hybrid engine with a 49hp electric motor is on the horizon, creating a segment-best system output of 160hp.

The Duster’s interior has undergone a thorough makeover, featuring dual-screen setup, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay support. The cabin boasts a premium feel with soft-touch materials and green contrasting stitching, complemented by features such as a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, and powered seats.

Safety has also been significantly upgraded with six airbags, 360-degree cameras, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS, electronic parking brakes, and disc brakes. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) have also been integrated, enhancing safety and convenience.

Billed as the most competitive SUV in its segment, the Duster 2026 is poised to take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and other models. With an estimated price range between 10 lakh and 20 lakh rupees, the Duster 2026 is expected to take the market by storm.
