  • Kerosene allocation of 528 kilolitres announced for April-June 2026
  • Eligible ration card holders in urban areas receive 1 liter per card, up to 2 liters in rural areas
  • Redistribution system ensures no shortage and all beneficiaries get their required supply
  • Timely distribution and reporting mechanisms implemented by state government

Kerosene will be distributed through fair price shops to benefit ration card holders in Chhattisgarh. The state is addressing a gas shortage by allocating 528 kilolitres of kerosene under the Public Distribution System (PDS) for April-June 2026.

The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection has directed all collectors to ensure timely lifting and distribution. Beneficiaries in Antyodaya and priority categories will receive one liter per ration card in urban areas and up to two liters in rural areas (scheduled and non-scheduled).

Guarantee Against Kerosene Shortage

To avoid any shortages, the state has implemented a redistribution system. Any unused kerosene from shops with low demand will be given to shops needing it more. This ensures that all eligible beneficiaries receive their rightful supply.

This distribution model aims to ensure a steady and continuous flow of kerosene throughout the allocated period, with the April allocation set to expire on April 30, 2026. Additionally, oil company officials have been instructed to report any lapsed quotas by that date.
