Emphasizing that in the Indian context, AI stands for "All Inclusive," he argued that innovation must be accompanied by widespread access to truly drive societal progress.
Addressing an international audience of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s rapid technological evolution. He noted that the nation now boasts an ecosystem of over 200,000 startups. Mr. Modi invited global stakeholders to collaborate with India to foster growth that benefits all segments of society, underscoring that the government is dedicated to simplifying regulations and improving the ease of doing business.
Promoting India as a Global Tech Hub
During his visit, the Prime Minister detailed India's technological milestones, including the nation's historic achievement in landing near the Moon’s south pole. He also shared updates on the country's energy sector, noting that a prototype fast breeder reactor recently achieved criticality, marking a significant step toward utilizing the nation's substantial thorium reserves for nuclear energy.
To further attract international investment, the Prime Minister highlighted that India is supporting private enterprises with targeted incentives exceeding $50 billion. He held high-level discussions with executives from leading French organizations, such as CMA CGM Group, Mistral AI, Alstom, and Saint-Gobain, focusing on strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence, logistics, and infrastructure development.
The Prime Minister also reflected on the strength of India-EU relations, specifically referencing the historic free trade agreement finalized earlier in 2026. He expressed optimism that this partnership would facilitate greater exchanges of talent, technology, and tourism. Furthermore, he pointed to India’s massive digital infrastructure, including the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), which now accounts for half of all real-time digital transactions globally and has even expanded its utility to landmarks like the Eiffel Tower in France.
By leveraging platforms like DigiLocker and GatiShakti, the government is working to ensure that technological advancements translate into tangible prosperity at the grassroots level.
