The annual Fastag toll pass fee has seen a modest increase starting from April 1st, impacting frequent highway travelers. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) recently revised the price to Rs 3,075 from Rs 3,000 for those who opt for this convenient mode of bypassing highway tolls.
Previously, a Fastag annual pass was equivalent to Rs 3,000. This amount has now been scaled up by Rs 75 to ensure the seamless operation of toll management systems and revenue collection. In total, it will cost Rs 3,075 for this year's toll fee.
Drivers with a valid FASTag must install it in their vehicles to utilize this service. The NHAI aims to maintain transparent practices regarding pass validity and the regulation of toll crossings. These new fees take effect alongside the beginning of the financial year 2026-27, prompting immediate awareness among drivers.
Valid for one year or up to 200 toll crossings, the NHAI emphasizes that the annual Fastag pass's validity is capped at either a specific period or a predetermined number of toll crossings. Drivers should be attentive to these limits to avoid unnecessary fines and ensure smooth travel on national highways.
Under the guidance from NHAI, all toll plazas are mandated to implement and update the new rates effective April 1st, 2026. The announcement is designed to facilitate a smoother operation system for both vehicle users and governmental authorities.
