The National Testing Agency is gearing up to conduct the JEE Main Session 2 on April 4, marking a significant milestone for aspiring engineering students across India. With approximately 11.23 lakh candidates registered, this examination holds immense importance in shaping future careers in engineering and architecture.

Examination Structure and Shifts

The JEE Main 2026 exam will feature two shifts—9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates can access the exam venue between 7:00 AM-8:30 AM for the morning shift and 1:00 PM-2:30 PM for the afternoon session.

Verification Process

A robust four-tier verification system has been designed to ensure fairness and security. Initially, candidates will be re-verified through their thumb impression and signature upon admit card printing. Entry to the exam hall requires a manual and biometric check at the gate followed by an AI face scan involving details such as mother's name and signature on attendance sheets.

Restrooms necessitate another biometric verification before allowing candidates back into the examination area, ensuring consistent security throughout the testing phase.

Dress Code Guidelines

The National Testing Agency has also issued specific dress code measures to maintain exam integrity. Female candidates are advised not to wear items like stoles, dupattas, or scarves that might interfere with security checks. Additionally, jewelry and metal objects including rings, earrings, and bracelets should be avoided by all candidates, particularly males who must refrain from wearing clothing with buckles. Caps and head coverings are strictly prohibited.

To ensure smooth operations, it is imperative for students to carry their admission cards, two passport-sized photographs, and valid ID proof as mandated documents.
