Tirupati, May 12th - In a remarkable feat, the results of the AP EdCET-2026 entrance examination have been released by Education Minister Nara Lokesh. The examination conducted for admission into B.Ed courses across Andhra Pradesh saw an impressive pass rate of 99.3%. With 19,741 candidates out of 19,880 successfully qualifying, the state's future teachers can now look forward to shaping a new generation of learners.

Dravidian University in Kuppam acted as the administering institution on behalf of APSCHE, conducting the examination across 90 centers covering the entire state's 13 combined districts. The test was executed in two shifts on May 8th and served as a significant landmark for aspiring educators.

Gender-Specific Pass Rates

The gender-wise breakdown reveals an equal opportunity for both men and women, achieving pass rates of 99.48% for males and 99.22% for females. These figures indicate a uniform approach to teacher education in the region, ensuring that every aspiring educator can contribute positively.

Stream-wise, Mathematics led with an impressive qualification percentage of 99.86, where 5,895 candidates passed out of 5,903. Physical Science followed closely at 99.79, with 2,405 candidates clearing the hurdle over 2,410 who appeared. Biological Sciences and Social Studies also demonstrated high enthusiasm among participants, registering pass percentages of 98.6% (4,717/4,750) and 99% (5,907 out of 5,986), respectively.

Across socio-economic categories, a 100% qualification rate was achieved among candidates from Scheduled Caste-I, II, III, ST, and General categories. The overall pass percentage for Other Castes (OC) stood at 98.98, while various Backward Castes recorded slightly lower but commendable percentages: BC-A - 98.86%, BC-B - 99.07%, BC-C - 98.92%, and BC-D - 98.35%. This data reflects a well-rounded and inclusive admission process in Andhra Pradesh's teacher education program.
