Indian Railways Introduces 16 Special Trains for Chaitra Navratri and Jamat-ul-Vida Festivals

Indian Railways has unveiled its annual festive planning, introducing a special suite of trains to cater to the significant travel demands during Chaitra Navratri and Jamat-ul-Vida, or Eid festivals. These two auspicious occasions witness a surge in demand from millions of travelers.

To tackle this increased traffic, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 16 special trains. The rail service is particularly geared toward Bihar and Uttar Pradesh destinations, which are popular among visitors during these religious events.

Here’s a detailed roster of where these special trains will be operating:

• Total Special Trains: 16, spanning various routes over different dates to facilitate passenger convenience and meet demand.
• New Delhi (NDLS) will play a pivotal role by being the origin point for five trains, including Train No. 04060 which runs from NDLS to Supaul, operated daily between March 18th to 21st.
• Anand Vihar Terminal is another key location where six special trains originate or terminate, covering routes such as those involving Anand Vihar to Laukha Bazaar and vice versa for train No. 04013 - 04014 and others.
• Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are key destinations, receiving the bulk of these special trains including Amritsar, Delhi Sarai Rohilla (DLI), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to name a few.
