The tragedy began when local law enforcement received a distress call via the Dial-100 service, reporting that a man had been found dead in his rented residence. Initially, officers registered a case of suspicious death, as the scene was carefully arranged to mimic a self-inflicted act. However, Inspector K. Vinod Kumar noted that the circumstances surrounding the death raised immediate concerns that warranted a more thorough investigation.
The victim’s body was subsequently transported to Osmania General Hospital for an official postmortem examination. During the arrest, police seized the chunni used in the crime and a mobile phone that she had used to contact her partner shortly after the incident took place.
