Hyderabad, a city known for its bustling environment and occasional emergencies, witnessed an act of extraordinary bravery when a police constable used Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to save the life of a TGSPDCL worker who suffered a severe electric shock on Thursday.
Raju Naik's Incident
Forty-four-year-old Raju Naik, an assistant line man working with Telangana State Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL), was performing routine repairs near the Kummarwadi Hanuman Temple in Karwan. While executing his task on a high-tension electrical pole, an unfortunate mishap led to him coming into contact with live wires and sustaining a massive electric shock.
Within seconds, Raju fell unconscious, his pulse virtually undetectable, indicating the severity of the situation.
The Rescuer: Constable Suresh
B. Suresh, a constable from Tappachabutra police station, was nearby on routine patrol when he noticed Raju's commotion and rushed to his assistance without hesitation. Upon arrival, Suresh found the worker unresponsive and not breathing.
Acting swiftly with expert knowledge of CPR techniques, Suresh began continuous chest compressions and eventually managed to revive Raju's pulse on-site. The paramedics who later arrived transferred Naik to the hospital for further critical care.
