The Meteorological Department forecasts significant rainfall over the Northern Plains, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, on April 3rd. Additional storms and isolated hailstorms can be anticipated in these regions. Meanwhile, scattered rain from Thursday to Friday is expected in Jammu & Kashmir.
Hilly States: Snow and Heavy Rain
Across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, moderate rainfall on April 3rd promises relief from the heat. However, residents should prepare for fresh snowfall in higher elevations, accompanied by a drop of temperature between 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Scattered Rain and Hailstone Warnings
This weather alert extends to Maharashtra and Marathwada regions with scattered rain and hailstorms. In Madhya Pradesh, heavy rainfall is predicted for Aligarh, Agra, Shamli, and other districts, accompanied by winds of 40 to 50 km/h and lightning. Meanwhile, in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh (coastal), rain, lightning, and strong winds are expected from April 3rd until the 6th.
Additionally, Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi is bracing for thunderstorms and lightning today. With dense dark clouds overhead since early morning, a warning has been issued for these specific districts.
