Hyderabad—The Hafeezpet railway station, a key transport hub in southern India, has undergone a significant transformation with the completion of modern facilities worth approximately Rs.33 crore. This development aims to provide international-standard amenities for passengers and enhance overall travel experiences.
Significant Upgrades Include State-of-the-Art Infrastructure
The redevelopment includes the construction of a 12-meter-wide Foot Over Bridge, ramp-covered platform updates, state-of-the-art toilets, redesigned station buildings, improved circulation areas, and extensive works on platforms. Additionally, new sign boards have been installed, along with two lifts and escalators to cater specifically to accessibility needs.
Much of the work has been completed to nearly 99 percent, setting the stage for a grand inauguration ceremony soon. Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy acknowledged the completion rate through an update on their official social media account 'X', emphasizing the importance of such infrastructure improvements in alignment with global standards.
These upgrades are expected to improve traffic flow and passenger satisfaction at this crucial junction, significantly enhancing rail connectivity in Hyderabad.
