Gold and silver prices spiked again today, March 10th, with a significant jump in the price of 24-carat gold. The latest rate increase of ₹1,700 per 10 grams has stirred confusion among potential gold buyers.

The India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA) reported a 24-carat gold price of ₹1.60 lakh per 10 grams, compared to its previous rate of ₹1.59 lakh per 10 grams. Silver prices have also seen a notable rise, with an increase of ₹13,000 per kilogram to reach ₹2.73 lakh per kilogram.

The 999 purity gold saw its price skyrocket to Rs 160,436 per 10 grams on Tuesday, March 10th, up by Rs 1,762 from Rs 158,674 on Monday. The 995 purity gold rose to Rs 159,794 per 10 grams, an increase of Rs 1,755 from Rs 158,039 on Monday.

Meanwhile, silver prices at bullions.co.in increased by ₹9,720, with the current price of 24-carat gold selling at ₹162,720 per 10 grams, up by ₹1,729 from ₹161,041 per 10 grams on Monday.

In 2023, gold has risen by ₹27,000 in total, while silver has grown by ₹42,000. Given the price changes, gold is now at a rate of Rs 1.60 lakh per 10 grams, up from Rs 1.33 lakh at the end of last year.
