The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for 2026 has been rescheduled to March 1, 2026, following the cancellation of the original exam due to unforeseen circumstances.

Candidates who were scheduled to appear for the CTET in February found themselves in an uncertain position following the cancellation of two exam centers in Bihar due to technical issues. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now announced that a re-exam will be conducted at these centers on March 1, 2026.

Admit cards for this rescheduled exam will be available for download on the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in, on March 1. Candidates will be able to access their admit cards by entering their application number and the date of birth or provided password.

Meanwhile, candidates awaiting the CTET answer key also have some encouraging news. According to the CBSE, the provisional answer key will be released after the re-exam is completed. This answer key will allow candidates to verify their responses and raise objections if they have issues with the questions.

All candidates are advised to bring their admit cards and a valid original ID when they arrive at the exam center. Failing to do so may result in being denied access to the test.

Candidates can expect their answer key to be available after the re-exam on February 1, 2026, with objections to be filed by paying ₹1,000 per question.
