CJP Sets Date for Jantar Mantar Protest Over NEET Paper Leak Controversy

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has reaffirmed its commitment to organize a protest at Jantar Mantar on June 20. The demonstration is aimed at pressing for the resignation of the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET paper leak. Organizers are currently awaiting formal permission from the Delhi Police to conduct the event.

Demands for Accountability and Minister's Resignation

The CJP, a youth-driven movement founded by Abhijeet Dipke, has become increasingly vocal regarding alleged irregularities in examinations, widespread unemployment, and delays in recruitment processes. During a press briefing, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das emphasized that the organization intends to carry out a peaceful demonstration. He mentioned that the group has reached out to the Delhi Police for cooperation and remains optimistic that authorization for the event at Jantar Mantar will be granted. The event is expected to feature participation from various artists and singers who have been invited to show their support.

The protest is scheduled to culminate in an indefinite sit-in until the demands for the minister's resignation are addressed. CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka expressed deep concern over the human cost associated with the NEET paper leak crisis. He claimed that 11 students have taken their own lives since the issue surfaced, with four of those tragic incidents reported within the last 24 hours alone. The organization is now advocating for a compensation package of Rs 1 crore for each of the affected families.

Ongoing Concerns Over Democratic Accountability

Addressing the lack of communication from the government, Ashutosh Ranka stated that the organization feels compelled to continue its agitation. He argued that the continued tenure of Dharmendra Pradhan in light of such significant allegations raises fundamental questions regarding democratic accountability. The CJP remains firm in its position that a leadership change is necessary to restore faith in the examination process.

As the June 20 protest approaches, the CJP leadership has extended well wishes to students currently preparing for their examinations. They expressed a hope that by the conclusion of the current exam cycle, significant changes will have been made within the education ministry. The movement, which has garnered attention for its focus on youth-centric issues, maintains that transparency and responsibility are essential for upholding the integrity of India's educational infrastructure.
