Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will promote environmental sustainability by cycling through the city of Visakhapatnam on World Environment Day, June 5. In a message posted on X, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to participate in similar activities and emphasized shared responsibility towards environmental protection.
"Let us all work together to protect natural resources and prevent air, water, and soil pollution," Naidu stated. He underlined that increasing greenery and conserving fuel are crucial for maintaining a sustainable environment. During his visit, the Chief Minister will also participate in the National Workshop on Seafood Exports and review progress of the Visakha Economic Region (VER).
Chief Minister's Visit Details
Naidu will undertake an extensive tour to boost environmental initiatives throughout the day. On June 5, he will cycle through Visakhapatnam as part of his efforts to spread awareness about conservation and encourage locals to do the same.
The Chief Minister also plans to chair a review meeting on June 8 at the Command and Control Room in Sagar Nagar, assess progress, and visit the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET).
"I request everyone's cooperation and urge you to join together for a great program, promoting this initiative, he added. With the CM setting an example through personal action, it is hoped that more citizens will take up cycling and other eco-friendly measures on June 5."
