Chief Minister Launches Major Development Projects in Hyderabad
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated several major development projects worth ₹1,600 crore in Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation, focusing on road networks, municipal office buildings, and healthcare facilities.

Hyderabad, India - In a significant move to enhance urban infrastructure and civic amenities, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation for several major development projects worth ₹1,600 crore in the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) on Sunday. Revanth Reddy's initiatives include laying the groundwork for a multi-billion rupee road network and facility expansions around the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre.
₹960 crore Road Network Expansion
The most prominent project involves constructing alternative roads costing ₹960 crore, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion around the AOC Centre. This ambitious infrastructure development will significantly improve connectivity and boost trade in the region.
Additionally, Reddy inaugurated plans for a six-lane bi-directional flyover with an estimated cost of ₹416 crore. Connecting key junctions like TKR College Junction, Gayatri Nagar Junction, and Manda Mallamma Junction, this project is expected to decongest the arteries of Malkajgiri.
Municipal Corporation Office Building
The Chief Minister also initiated work on a new Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation office building in Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-III, estimated at ₹98 crore. This modern administrative complex aims to streamline municipal governance and enhance service delivery.
In another significant move for healthcare infrastructure, Reddy laid the foundation stone for a 100-bed Area Hospital to be constructed on 0.97 acres at a cost of ₹27.17 crore in Uppal. This project is expected to provide essential health care services to the local population.
