Bandi Sanjay Lays Foundation Stone for New CISF Headquarters in New Delhi

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, officially laid the foundation stone for the new CISF Headquarters building in New Delhi this Monday. This significant development at the CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, marks a milestone in enhancing the operational capabilities of the Central Industrial Security Force. The project is designed to centralize the force's administrative and strategic functions within a modern, state-of-the-art facility.
Modern Infrastructure and Strategic Advancements
The upcoming CISF Headquarters is being constructed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) with an estimated budget of Rs 75.78 crore. This nine-storey structure is planned as the nerve center for the force, incorporating advanced amenities such as a specialized control room, extensive conference facilities, a modern auditorium, library access, and dedicated gymnasium areas for personnel. The facility aims to streamline the force's administrative and operational efficiency.
In addition to launching the new headquarters, Bandi Sanjay Kumar inaugurated several other critical infrastructure projects totaling Rs 136.03 crore. These include the 'Aditya' Subordinate Officers' Mess and the 'Abhyas' Advanced Training Building, both situated at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad. Furthermore, new quarters for subordinate officers at the 4th Reserve Battalion in Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu, were also dedicated to the nation.
Commitment to Personnel Welfare
The ceremony underscored the government's steadfast commitment to the welfare of CAPF personnel. A financial grant of Rs 1 crore was distributed to the families of deceased officers under the Personal Accident Insurance Scheme. Additionally, the event highlighted collaborative efforts between Sanrakshika and the State Bank of India to provide customized motorable wheelchairs to children of force personnel with different abilities.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasized the ongoing initiatives supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Key improvements include the expansion of the Ayushman CAPF cashless healthcare system and the implementation of the transparent CAPF e-Awas portal for housing allotments. The government continues to focus on welfare programs like Project MANN, which provides essential mental health support, and the robust Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar network, ensuring that personnel and their families receive comprehensive service benefits and support.
