Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed strong confidence that the ongoing SIT probe into the alleged mismanagement of Ayodhya Temple funds will successfully uncover the absolute truth. During his visit to Ayodhya on Friday, the Chief Minister urged stakeholders to refrain from spreading baseless speculation, emphasizing the importance of patience and respect for the sentiments of devotees while the investigation continues.

The state government officially constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13 to examine allegations regarding the potential misappropriation of donations meant for the Ram Temple. This administrative action followed initial concerns raised on June 7, when Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav pointed to reports suggesting that significant portions of the offerings might be missing, calling for immediate judicial oversight.

Ensuring Accountability in the SIT Probe

Yogi Adityanath has reached out to the public, encouraging anyone who possesses relevant evidence regarding the Ayodhya Temple funds to submit their findings directly to the investigators. He provided a stern warning that the administration would take strict action against any individuals found guilty of financial irregularities, regardless of their status or political affiliation.

During his address, the Chief Minister underscored the historical significance of the site, reminding citizens of the long struggle undertaken by their ancestors to reclaim the land. He advised the public to exercise restraint for the next 15 days while the SIT probe remains in progress, cautioning against narratives intended to damage the reputation of Ayodhya Dham.

Beyond the ongoing investigation, the Chief Minister focused on regional progress by inaugurating 126 infrastructure and development projects valued at approximately 378 crores. He also unveiled a statue honoring the warrior Jhalkari Bai. In his remarks, he criticized political opponents, including the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, accusing them of previously stalling development and failing to support the welfare of the underprivileged.

The Chief Minister questioned the past priorities of these parties, highlighting the lack of widespread benefits from government programs during their previous tenures. He reiterated that the ongoing Ayodhya Temple funds investigation is being conducted with full transparency and urged all devotees to remain calm and vigilant against malicious propaganda aimed at tarnishing the sanctity of the temple.
