Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has recently assigned ministers responsible for the development and oversight of specific districts, aiming to streamline administrative processes and expedite regional progress. According to an official government order, State Rural Development Minister N Anand will direct Villupuram and Cuddalore, while Chennai and Tiruvannamalai will be managed by the Minister for Public Works and Sports Development Aadhav Arjuna.

Comprehensive District Assignments

The order also specifies that Mayiladuthurai district is now under the State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, P Venkataraman. Meanwhile, Tiruvallur will be looked after by Kancheepuram's Minister R Kumar, while Tirunelveli is assigned to State Finance Minister Marie Wilson. Other important assignments include State School Education Minister Raj Mohan managing Perambalur; K Thennarasu overseeing Kancheepuram, and Ranjithkumar in charge of Tiruppur.

The allocation continues with Sarathkumar (Chengalpet), Arasu (Kallakurichi), Rajkumar (Dharmapuri and Ariyalur districts), and Shahjahan for Nagapattinam as well as agriculture minister Vinoth, tasked with Thanjavur. Similarly, the Tamil Nadu government has assigned Karur to CM Vijayalakshmi and Namakkal's responsibility to D Logesh Tamilselvan.

The order emphasizes continuous efforts by the government to ensure timely implementation of sectoral schemes at the grassroots level. This move is designed to strengthen, monitor, and expedite scheme works during various emergencies such as natural calamities or epidemics.
