Local law enforcement authorities in Nellore have successfully resolved a recent burglary case, resulting in the recovery of stolen valuables worth ₹11.88 lakh. This operation marks a significant achievement for the local police, who acted swiftly following reports of a break-in at a residential property.
The investigation into the burglary case began after unidentified individuals gained unauthorized access to a locked first-floor residence located in Revenue Colony, under the jurisdiction of the Nellore Rural mandal. The perpetrators reportedly forced entry by removing the lock on the grill gate and manipulating the window grills, allowing them to access the home and steal various ornaments kept within a cupboard.
Successful Police Operation in Nellore
Following the complaint, directives were issued by the SPSR Nellore Superintendent of Police, Dr. Ajitha Vejendla. Under the direct supervision of the Nellore Town Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Deeksha, a specialized team from the Vedayapalem police station was tasked with tracking down the culprits behind the burglary case.
On June 22, the police apprehended the primary suspect, identified as Uppu Siva Narayana, a 31-year-old resident of the Kallurupalli Housing Board Colony near the Bujabujanellore highway road. According to official reports, the suspect attempted to evade the authorities upon spotting the police team but was successfully chased down and taken into custody.
Recovery of Stolen Assets
During the subsequent interrogation, officers discovered a bag in the possession of the accused containing the stolen items. The total recovery included 162.5 grams of gold ornaments, estimated to be worth ₹11.37 lakh, and 340 grams of silver articles valued at ₹51,000. These items constitute the entirety of the property reported stolen during the incident.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the local police suggest that the accused individual had been engaging in criminal activities, specifically thefts, to obtain easy money. Following the successful closure of this investigation, Dr. Ajitha Vejendla formally commended ASP Deeksha and the entire Vedayapalem police squad for their diligent efforts in solving this case and ensuring the return of the stolen assets to the rightful owner. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of robust residential security and proactive law enforcement patrols in maintaining public order within the region.
