Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh: With a view to promoting sustainable industrial growth in the region, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently formally initiated the construction of flatted factory complexes in Kothapeta and Anaparthi constituencies through a virtual ceremony.
Anaparthi MLA's Vision
Ainanalli MLA, Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, elaborated on the plan to establish a flatted factory complex in Balabhadrapuram village. Estimated at a cost of Rs 15 crore, this initiative aims at fostering industries that operate in an eco-friendly manner. The project, led by Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), is set to provide space for twenty-six industries.
The flatted factory concepts are gaining traction across India due to their cost-efficiency and green manufacturing capabilities. These structures offer a modular design that can be adjusted according to the needs of multiple small industries, effectively reducing overhead costs and environmental footprint.
Boosting Local Economy
The establishment of such complexes in these constituencies is expected to have a significant impact on local employment rates. By allocating space for diverse industries, the area stands to benefit economically while promoting sustainable practices within the industrial sector.
According to Boddu Venkata Ramana Chowdary, chairman of RUDA (Regional Urban Development Authority), flatted factories align with the state's vision for balanced and green growth. This initiative dovetails seamlessly with Naidu's larger goals, ensuring long-term sustainability in Andhra Pradesh.
